AP Miguel Tejada is the "boy" again in Giants
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Miguel Tejada could take a look at the excitement generated by his new team, when a camera crew filmed him as he sat in front his locker and was preparing to take the field.
Tejada is one of the new faces who are now with the San Francisco Giants, defending champions of the World Series and whose payroll is almost untouched by his campaign to an unexpected title.
Tejada was presented to the training camps of the preseason to get excited about his new uniform and finally be able to jump into the field.
Just four and a half months, Tejada was the Giants, but on the other side of the field, as part of the San Diego Padres, who were eliminated from postseason play on the last day of the season at the AT & Stage T Park. Later saw
television as the Giants won their first championship since 1954 and their first since moving from New York to San Francisco in 1958.
Now Tejada wants to help San Francisco to defend his title in the Western Division of the National League and have another long march through the postseason.
"I'm new. It's pretty good. I feel really honored and I thank the San Francisco Giants for choosing me as the guy who will help them to repeat (the championship). From the first day of spring training, we are thinking win and I am a winner, "said Tejada.
